As of November 12, 2019, all payments for the remaining settlement awards have been processed. If you do not receive your check within 10 days of the process date and you believe it was lost or stolen, please contact our office.

A confidential settlement has been reached in a class-action lawsuit alleging that Worley Catastrophe Response, LLC et al owe additional compensation pursuant to their written employment Agreements with Plaintiffs, and any potential class members, providing that for the work they performed they would be paid 65% of the total fee amount of the invoice billed to ESIS, BP, and/or the Gulf Coast Claims Facility (“GCCF”), as the case may be. The lawsuit further alleges that defendants are liable for penalties due to non-payment of wages under Louisiana’s wage payment statute, La. R.S. 23:631 and 632. Worley has denied the Plaintiffs’ allegations.

The Court has not decided in favor of Plaintiffs or Defendant.  Plaintiffs thinks that they would win at trial, while Defendants think that Plaintiffs would not win anything. But,

there will be no trial; instead, both sides have agreed to a settlement.  That way, they avoid the costs of litigation, and the individuals potentially affected will get compensation.  It is believed that a settlement is in the best interest of the class.

You can take part in the Class Action seeking additional wages if you worked as a claims adjuster for Worley on the BP Oil Spill Project.
